Check if the chip connected to the cartridge has clean contacts. Also check the contacts in the printer. Perhaps you need a very small mirror and a flashlight. If only one contact is dirty, or some dust or paper is between two contacts, the printer will not recognise the cartridge.

the print head is at fault .The instruction manual will tell you the way to clean it .If all else fails remove the head flush with warm water till it runs clear of ink . obtain some Windex glass cleaner ,place head in a bowl cover with cleaner leave over night then flush and dry ,it has worked for me worth a try.

Clean the paper feed with alcohol and a paper towel by rubbing and rotating the drum. Wait for it to dry completely then it should grab the paper. Also make sure paper is free from dust. Good luck!

Look at the back of the printer, you will find 2 latches at the back of the printer, you need to press those latches to open the rear access door. once the rear access door is open you can take the paper that is stuck inside the printer.

corrupted drivers,delete printer and reinstall.

corrupt software. delete printer,restart computer,re-install software.you prob have a virus.

try to restart the printer once or twice....after that check if the printhead is moving to the center of the printer or not. if its moving to the center...try to take out the printhead and then reseat it back in the printer. this will fix the problem for you. feel free to contact if this doesn't fix ur problem.

Run a printhead cleaning if Black is faded or missing. If no improvement, replace Black ink cartridge.
