My kodak easyshare m883 camera turns on lets me change the time and date then cuts out
Hi,
please ensure that the battery isn't past it's expiration date- even if it's not been used before, an expiration m. And please ensure that the sd card does not have more data stored than was built for the camera to handle. If so, please transfer some data off of the sd card and then attempt to set the date on your camera again.
Thank you.
The screen and pictures are black even in light
Hi,
Please make sure that your camera doesn't have a black cover or tax over the lends. This would block any images from being stored whenever you attempt to take a picture. In other words, the camera wouldn't be able "to see". If you can't find any cover, please check that you've properly inserted an SD card for the camera to use and then switch modes (ie action, night time etc) until you see the area that you're attempting to capture come on the camera screen. Otherwise, you might need to get the camera checked at a store like BH Photo and video.
Thank you.
Error E45 See user guide Kodak Easy Share LS443
Hello
The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the
probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.
Use
these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.
Firstly ,
try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.
Try holding the
shutter button while switching on the camera.
Look at the lens ,
and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then
try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).
Try gently
pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may
cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.
Another
way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and
then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to
not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and
down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the
camera is enough to get things going again.
Try hitting your
camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of
your hand.
Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair
center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to
replace the camera.
If it is still under warranty I would suggest
you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any
off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about
warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.
You can also have a look at THIS link.
Hope
the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need
any further assistance. Also, please be so kind to let me know if you
found this helpful.
Regards
Andrea
My Kodak Ektapro 5020 double plays every slide
Hi,
if you need to purchase a special slide, you can call Kodak directly and make the request. They can either direct you to the product on their website or one of their vendors. And for the double slide issue, I would suggest leaving a blank space between each slide as a round about solution. Otherwise, you can reference the product manual to help overcome this.
Thank you.
I cannot print a word document
You can try use a PDF print driver and see what is the output and Error.
Please post more information such as error and what happens when you try printing, if the PDF solution does not work
Kodak easyshare c340 wont turn on
My EasyShare was doing the same thing your post describes, which is how I came to be at this website. I tried the one suggestion of turning on camera (I did so to the 'Auto' setting), then pressing the |O|/i button, which is the button below the 'delete' and above 'menu' next to the screen. That didn't work for me. I then tried the suggestion with the other modes on the power dial, no luck.
I then, from the off position, turned the dial the other way, to the 'favorites' icon, and it worked! I didn't have a memory card in at the time, so it made a noise almost like saying "uh-oh", with the message 'no images in favorites'. I then turned it off, then turned it to 'auto' again, good to go! The lens opened, green light remained on in all modes.
If this helps even one person, I'm glad.
Why does camera close down when I plug USB cable to pc have replaced cable & batteries
As soon as you connect a camera to a computer, the camera shuts down, because it only can act as a "dumb" memory stick.
Only more advanced camera's and special programs allow the camera to be connected and be monitored on a computer.
Nikon has Camera Control Pro 2 for its DSLRs. Only the software is over 100 dollars.
When you have installed Kodak Picture easy software, you can connect the camera to the computer and then after you switch on the camera, you can download the pictures from the camera to the PC.
My Kodak printer wont grab the paper in the paper tray
Amandasplace: There is a sensor that is located where the front edge of the paper sits when you load paper. If you take all of the paper out of the feed tray and use a flashlight to look in the throat of the paper feed area, you should see a small piece of plastic (in the shape of a blade) sticking up. If you do not see that sensor flag it may be broken off, or there may be a small piece of paper jammed against the sensor flag, keeping it from moving downward when you load the paper tray. That can happen if you pull a mis-fed piece of paper out of the machine in the opposite direction that the paper normally travels when printing. When you load the paper in the machine, it pushes that sensor flag down, telling the machine that there is paper loaded. either the sensor flag is broken off or there is something jamming the paper sensor, keeping it from being pushed down by the paper.
