MY LG 20LS7D TV WILL
You have lost your original remote and got into this by pressing info select and the option 7 UART Download. Happened to my 95 year old aunt in assisted living. You will need the original remote and simply hit (EXIT) or another LG branded remote that has the (ROUND RETURN BUTTON) on the left. Once you accidently get in to this, I have not found a universal Zenith remote that can get you out even though Channel up/down and basic funtions work.Bud retired Bud's TV Service.
Menu screen keeps popping up stop
In my case I took the monitor apart and replaced the small plug on the Menu switch unit with soldered connections. This requires you to have a very small soldering iron, mine has 1mm tip. The problem seems to be caused by the connections in this plug, or the other end on the On/Off board making intermittent or poor connections. This is not a job for the faint hearted. Getting the monitor apart is answered elsewhere but the following is a brief summary. With the monitor facing you pull the top of the bottom bezel towards you with two hands. It will come away from the screen face, keep on pulling until you hear the fasteners clicking out. Work your way round the bezel from left up to right down finishing at the menu switches. Its now best to lay the monitor face down and lift the back off as the switches are held in the front bezel and you will break the wires if you just pull the front off. Photograph it so you know how to reassemble. Reassembly is reverse, lay monitor on face locate back correctly and push down round edges to click in.
LG Flatron L177WSB-how would I use my newly
Hi, the Power Saving Mode, turns the screen off to conserve energy. On the remote, press Menu, and scan to Power Saving Mode. You can change the amount of time, when the Screen turn-off, the TV shut-off etc. You can set the time to (5 min) to, (never, turn-off). This should help with your problem. Thanks paul7of9
How to open the monitor's case
take off the stand and look around the edges where the front case meets the rear case (clamshell). You need to insert a flat tool like a paint scraper (preferably plastic) between them and rock the two apart (you will be able to tell which direction to pull once you start. You should see a section that allows you to begin at.. usually in the middle of one side or bottom. do not begin at a corner.. pry the front and back apart and you will hear the clips pop as they release to seperate the two halves of the "clamshell" and the rear of the monitor will seperate. Just be careful and try to not bust the clips off as you work your way around the monitor perifory.

Signal out of range
lower your resolution to VGA and work your way up. Note that if you choose differnt geometry, the screen edges will hang off the ends of the monitor and you can not see then.. If you are out and can not see to change, you will have to boot up in safe mode (f8) and adjust down then reboot to normal.
good luck!
FRATRON SCREEN NOT WORKING
are you in dual screen mode on a laptop possibly? Check that the laptop is dual enabled so that it is either an extension or a duplication of your main screen. This is common mistake in setting up external monitor on laptop.
How to stretch screen to fit monitor
you need to look at the geometry settings on the video driver on your computer to find the right set for your monitor. There is some adjustment in your monitor to choose 4:3 or 16:9, but in PC mode this is usually over-riden though.
