I have a lg flat screen monitor, the words are blurred
Is it just the fonts that are blurry, or everything? If fonts only,
then this almost certainly suggests that running the ClearType tuner
again would solve the problem. But this applies to all displays, so if
one is good and the other is not, then this isn't it.If
everything is a little blurry, then this suggests one of two problems
-- the first, you report trying, which is that the display adapter is
set to a different resolution than the native resolution of the LCD
monitor itself. Your display adapter should probably be able to drive 2
monitors (the built-in laptop monitor and the external monitor) at
once. You should be able to set their resolutions separately.Assuming
Windows XP: Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings > at
which point, you should see two monitors listed in a dropdown. Set them
to their native resolutions there (using the slider bar, usually all
the way to the right), and save.If you do have the display
resolutions set to their native resolutions for both monitors, then
it's possible that your external monitor is messed up. A quick test
would be to run the on-screen settings, usually from a button on the
monitor itself. If what is displayed there is sharp and what is
displayed from Windows is not, then this points to a problem with the
display driver. If everything, even the on-screen display is blurry,
then perhaps the monitor settings are messed up -- usually there's an
option to restore to factory settings -- try that.

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

there should be a button on your screen that will open a menu -- here you should find an option for "Geomentry" or "geom" or something similar (it should have a picture that shows what is happening to your screen. Go into this option and play around with the geometric shape of your display -- you should be able to square off the corners so everything looks right again. You might have to then play with the screen size or position in order to get the display centered again ... but this should not be difficult (the options should be in the same menu as the geometry option.
On my monitor, the menu button is located right next to the brightness and contrast controls ... hopefully you should be able to find the buttons, and navigate the menus without an issue.
