Where do the brown and orange wires go on a new capacitor for an LG refrig? LFXS30796

Brown and yellow usually go to the motor. (Red and black wire to the control box - red usually attached to "C").

The should be a wiring diagram on the back of the refrigerator.

I have a lg lsn307hv that won't communcate with the outdoor unit, giv ing code ch-05

Likely have a bad wire. Sometimes you can swap a ground wire or line wire with the data wire and get it to work. Whatever you do outside you have to change inside. Make changes with power off.

My LG split unit Inverter V model LSN120HXV does not turn off the compressor when it cools to the preset temperature.

These units are designed for precise cooling and humidity control. They are designed to run all the time. Although your cooling temp may be satisfied your compressor still runs maintaining that temp and dehumidifying as well. These inverters drop down to as low as 30% capacity and remain running which in fact is saving you electricity rather than stopping and starting.

Water leaks from the unit on humid days. It is an LG split unit.

If this is a central AC, the condensation drips off the cooling coils into a pan. From the pan, it is suppose to either go into a drain directly or into a sump, which in turn pumps it into a drain. Dirt or mold frequently plug the drain out of the pan or the drain line itself. You need to clear the drain with a wire or forced air. If there is a trap in the drain line, it may be plugged. If there is a trap and the line is not draining from the trap into a sewer, then I suggest you remove the trap, which is intended to block sewer gas from coming up the drain line. If it doesn't drain into a sewer, there is no sewer gas to block and the trap is unnecessary. The credulous building code requires the trap, regardless of whether or not the unit drains into a sewer.

My lg r410a portable a/c started making a fast midrange groaning noise when in cooling but not fan mode. water tray is empty, filters clean but when i reset, noise restarts after short time. help?

Sounds like it maybe a refrigerant charge problem. Do you have access to refrigerant gauges? Do you also know the model and serial number?

LG LW6015ER a/c won't turn on. Removed front panel, top cover, shot coil cleaner, then sprayed coils with nozzle. Put everything back, plugged it in. Reset button on power cord, hear beep from unit.

Sounds like you may have gotten something wet that shouldn't have during the coil cleaning process. Power unit sounds to be working, but control board may have been damaged.
