If your tv does not have Bluetooth then you will need the cables to connect to tv. They usually come with the sound bar, even if it has Bluetooth. Check the box before you buy them in case they are included.

I would say yes it is repairable. However if the units have an HDMI connection, you don't need the Optical, as the sound will transfer via that. Get a good quality lead.

How long is BlueTooth good for on the source device? There is likely a menu selection on the feeder device.

have you tried resetting the unit

unplug the power cord
wait at least 5 seconds
plu it back in

You should check the connections on the unit and make certain everything is correctly fitted and in the right place.

Modern TV's are not fitted with Audio out sockets these days. You will probably see with those two red and white jacks are some other jacks. These together are used to connect to either a DVD, Camcorder, or projector. Therefore are useless as sound out! The only way you can get audio out, to an amp not having a digital connection, is to use are scart plug that has RCA cables coming out of it. Assuming the TV has a scart socket.

If u are trying to change the input from dvd to usb or the other inputs. All you have to do is hold down the play button on the front of the dvd home theater system until it starts to flash then press it again and keep pressing until u find the input u are looking for. It will rotate thru all inputs even the ipod input.
