Try setting it to mirror to see the results. If it's good, then you know that the latest software is causing the problem.

Video conference with 4 people split screen
I have looked into this for quite some time...what if you get a lot more features in another software...!!!
ooVoo is the software and you can use 6 people video conference with recording facility.
The problem is Windows Live messanger has some technical issues when it comes to multiple video conferencing...hence ooVoo is for you.
Download from here..http://oovoo.com/
there's a free version and trial version giving you full access for 30 days...no credit card required.
There are other softwares but they are cheap stuff...so I suggest you to go for this one.

Installing Logitech pro 9000 webcam without CD - having troubles.
Ok maybe you can try this:
- get the software for the camera and extract into a folder in desktop (to keep it at hand mainly)
- plug in camera and wait for the Guide to a new device thingy, where it asks you to insert cd.
- now most times the computer asks you to insert cd or indicate location of installation folder, instead of cd, try to look for an option to browse to the directory where you extracted the files.
If that works, you will be able to get the basic drivers installed and when you restart, guide won't appear anymore because won't be a new device, and then u could install additional software.

My cam does not work on person.com but works in
Go to this site and sign-in.
http://person.com/webcams.personals_search.phtml
then go to webcam and click on it and setup your camera so it will operate on person.com. All web cam's have to be setup on a program so it will operate properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
