Clock comes out the front, take a sharp knife and get under the edge and gently work it out working all the way around or it might just pop out with a little nudge if the wood has dried out and shrunk

You can try a full reset, but it sounds like it needs mechanical repair. Take it to a local jeweler or send it in for factory service.
