We have just bought a maytag MDE7657AYW, and have to install a 220 outlet, we need to know the amp rating for breaker. Thanks

I don't see the installation guide or specifications for the MDE7657AYW. However, most Maytag electric dryers (220 or 240V) require a 30A fuse/breaker. See https://www.maytag.com/content/dam/global/documents/201203/specification-sheet-I90013.pdf . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells (The gas dryers need a 15A breaker.)

Where is the thermal fuse located on a Maytag Neptune dryer model mde6700azw? I have almost taken the whole machine apart but I am not have any luck finding so I can replace it.

A thermal fues has to be in the main line wiring on one of the lines feeding the element. There are Im sure several different types. One that iIm femilure with looks like a resistor. Wire into a little silver looking cylender that may gge 3/32 or 3mm dia and less than 1/2 inch long. Plus t he electrode wires on one end its colored and tapered. The whole thing could be on a plastic or phenolic mounting being held by 1 screw. The wires 1 in 1 out will be on one side usualky this is yhe side thats exposed for you to see. And just to be clear there could be more sires tied on either end to opperate a virety of other things. So Im sure it has at least 2 wires....

My maytag wont start, clicking sound. Model #MAF35MCAVs serial #A0215057/0031004

The clicking and inability to start usually is due to the top not being closed. Perhaps a small foreign body, or a piece of clothing is keeping the full closure from occurring. Inspect the full border carefully, it does not take much to prevent the closure. 1-lzic241h4ds5idgytq3bspc2-2-0_0.jpg

I have a Maytag legacy dryer. I had to take the control head off and when doing so the gy(green wire with yellow) come off and I have no idea where it came off at. Any help would be appreciated.

Green with a yellow stripe is used as European Standard wire colour for earth (i.e. ground / chassis) so it probably joins to a part of the body (control head body to dryer frame?). The connector on the end of the wire should give you a clue, i.e. does it have a push connector (look for a spade) or an eye (to go on a chassis screw somewhere, often with a star washer under to improve connection)?

Westinghouse ld505e clothes dryer runs

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Check to make sure you are getting full 220 Volt power to the dryer, if you are then:
Check your Wiring
Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks.
If this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the
wire is attached.
Check the Door Switch
If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed
component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame.
Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.
Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed.
If not replace the door switch.
Check to make sure you heating problem is not a lint build up in the discharge hose or the dryer,as this condition can cause
heater/thermistor problems such as overheating of the heating coil leading to failure of the coil and burnout of the
thermostat/thermistor due to overheat.
Remove the back/or front just under the door of the machine and try to locate the air duct going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside/outside the air duct you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistors. Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.
If the heating coil is ok, then:
You can check the thermostat/thermistor one at a time by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape
or with an ohm meter to test the thermostat/thermistor. (Should have/show continuity)
If the coil heats up then replace the thermostat/thermistor.
(Thermal fuse.If it overheats the dryer will not operate. It's located on the blower housing. It cannot be reset. A vent clogged
with lint can cause it to overheat. You can test it with an Ohm meter or continuity checker, if no continuity, replace it)
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST.
This could cause a FIRE, as you have removed the safety of overheat from the machine.
Right after replacing a dryer element, always run the dryer on 'air fluff' / 'no heat', and go outside to verify there's
plenty of air coming out your vent system.
If the vent's clogged, that new element can burn out very quickly.

How do you change the door swing on a maytag bravo xl dryer

This question has already been answered in Fixya. Here is the answer from Lee Parker. >> you open the door you should see the hinges and a screw or two holding them. On the opposite side you will see the same screw or screws possibly holding door stops/bumpers, unscrew the screws, lift and remove the door, flip it over and put on other side moving the door stops if applicable to where the hinges used to be.

Maytag dryer, model #MEDE200XW1 was working fine, then I pushed the start button and was walking away and didn't get button pushed in or held long enough to start. Now it just beeps.

It's possible that the inside of the button has gotten some soap or "gunk" which is showing the button as being held on. Try and clean out around and behind the button, even a small squirt of WD 30 may loosen anything behind the button. Make sure the power is off before doing anything.

My May tag dryer model med9700sb0 sensing light on the control on will not come on. The other lights do. What could cause this?

A blocked exhaust vent is the most common reason the air overheats. When the thermal fuse is blown in an electric dryer, the controls light up but the drive motorwon't run. You can't reset the thermal fuse; if it's blown, you have to replace it with a manufacturer-approved replacement part. ... Unplug the dryer.
