We have a maytag dryer, we just replaced the drive pulley on the motor and the drive belt we tested it and it ran fine, we put a load on it and the drum doesnt turn what could be the cause

The most likely cause is a lack of tension on the belt.? I'm not familiar with this particular model so here's a few diagnostic pointers; It may be that there's a spring-loaded belt tensioner that you've not properly reattatched.? I could be that there's a (or a couple) of tension-adjustment bolts, around the drive-motor, which can move the motor a little, to take up the belt tension.? It could also be that the new drive-belt is NOT the correct one for the job.? If there is no tensioner or adjuster, then the belt will be a 'stretch' type, which is a tiny bit undersized & needs to be gently levered into place on the motor & drum pulleys.? The old belt should have a part number on the webbing on the outside of it. Make sure that the new belt has exactly the same part number on it.?

The thermal couple on a Maytag dryer keeps tripping , changed out all vent pipe from dryer to out side, thermal couple still tripped after 2weeks , Maytag model MEDC300BW0

Automatically resetting thermostatic switches have a natural lifespan. The more often that they trip-out, the weaker they get, so the more likely they become to trip-out. There's a good chance that yours has reached the end of it's lfe & will need to be replaced. If you're a good DIY'er, you can do it yourself.? If not, you'll need an engineer to come out to replace the part.

My maytag Bravos dryer won't start. It turns on, but when I press start there is just a clicking sound. What would cause this?

With the door open, push the door switch and turn the drum by hand clockwise while pressing the start button. Need 3 hands for this. If it starts to run then it's the motor switch. If the drum turns freely, it's the belt

Maytag dryer model MDE6657BYW timer will not advance in Perm Press or Regular cycles but will in the Time Dry cycle. Replaced timer, worked for a couple of days, now new timer does the same thing.

It’s most likely caused by your Cycling Thermostat AP6007567. When this thermostat opens due to heat in the blower housing, the timer starts running. I believe this thermostat is bypassed in the Timed Dry mode. The thermostat is on the blower housing so you would have take the front off the dryer to access it.

We have just bought a maytag MDE7657AYW, and have to install a 220 outlet, we need to know the amp rating for breaker. Thanks

I don't see the installation guide or specifications for the MDE7657AYW. However, most Maytag electric dryers (220 or 240V) require a 30A fuse/breaker. See https://www.maytag.com/content/dam/global/documents/201203/specification-sheet-I90013.pdf . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells (The gas dryers need a 15A breaker.)

Where is the thermal fuse located on a Maytag Neptune dryer model mde6700azw? I have almost taken the whole machine apart but I am not have any luck finding so I can replace it.

A thermal fues has to be in the main line wiring on one of the lines feeding the element. There are Im sure several different types. One that iIm femilure with looks like a resistor. Wire into a little silver looking cylender that may gge 3/32 or 3mm dia and less than 1/2 inch long. Plus t he electrode wires on one end its colored and tapered. The whole thing could be on a plastic or phenolic mounting being held by 1 screw. The wires 1 in 1 out will be on one side usualky this is yhe side thats exposed for you to see. And just to be clear there could be more sires tied on either end to opperate a virety of other things. So Im sure it has at least 2 wires....

My maytag wont start, clicking sound. Model #MAF35MCAVs serial #A0215057/0031004

The clicking and inability to start usually is due to the top not being closed. Perhaps a small foreign body, or a piece of clothing is keeping the full closure from occurring. Inspect the full border carefully, it does not take much to prevent the closure. 1-lzic241h4ds5idgytq3bspc2-2-0_0.jpg

I have a Maytag legacy dryer. I had to take the control head off and when doing so the gy(green wire with yellow) come off and I have no idea where it came off at. Any help would be appreciated.

Green with a yellow stripe is used as European Standard wire colour for earth (i.e. ground / chassis) so it probably joins to a part of the body (control head body to dryer frame?). The connector on the end of the wire should give you a clue, i.e. does it have a push connector (look for a spade) or an eye (to go on a chassis screw somewhere, often with a star washer under to improve connection)?

F04 E04 means low power voltage to dryer - check both sides of AC receptacle for 110 to 120VAC on each side to ground - check breaker panel for tripped or bad 220VAC breaker. Only one side may be suppling voltage to dryer. https://www.6ya.com/callphilipforhelp

How do you change the door swing on a maytag bravo xl dryer

This question has already been answered in Fixya. Here is the answer from Lee Parker. >> you open the door you should see the hinges and a screw or two holding them. On the opposite side you will see the same screw or screws possibly holding door stops/bumpers, unscrew the screws, lift and remove the door, flip it over and put on other side moving the door stops if applicable to where the hinges used to be.

My maytag bravos dryer comes on but when you press the start button it doesn't come on

Powers ON but does nothing when you press the START button<?>. Does light inside the drum come on when you open the door? It may think the door is not closed . Make sure light comes on when door is open and goes out when closed. Could be failed door switch.
