The Timer Knob on my Maytag Dryer does not move.

While the dryer is turning slowly advance the timer knob to the end of the cycle. The dryer should stop. It sounds as if the timer motor has died or is not being powered for some reason and is not advancing the timer.

Constant water flow with machine on or off

It seems reasonable to me that the machine has a solenoid spring loaded to the off position and electrically opened to allow water in. Check the temperature of the water coming in. If it is cold then the fault is in the cold water valve, if hot then the hot water valve is the problem. I suspect you need a new water valve.

I have a kenmore washer that well not fell with water unless i tilt it forward about a foot

From the fact that if you tip it forward it will fill I would guess there is a shutoff float somewhere in your washer causing a problem.

My Maytag "Dependable Care" dryer

Don';t throw the dryer away yet. Check the circuit breaker in the electric panel to see it it has popped. If it checks out ok then check where you plug the dryer electric cord in. There may be an overload pop-out button on the receptacle. If there is, reset it.

The dryer is not getting hot to dry the close, but there was something on the water heater pushing on a red button

unless I'n missing something the water heater has nothing to do with your dryer. If you have an electric dryer and the tumbler is turning then you have electricity to the dryer. If however the tumbler is not turning check the wall plugin. It probably is a CFI plug and may need to be reset.

I have a moffit dryer and have purchased a new

Usually, washers, dryers and refrigerators have wiring diagrams & parts lists in a packet somewhere inside the machine. I think that for dryers they are usually placed inside the back panel where the timer would get installed or on some inside of one of the side walls around the dryer. If this answer doesn't help, please do not accept it.
Good Luck,

Top load Maytag washer about

You might have a sensor problem that prevents the cycle from proceeding.
Most washers have a sensor that detects the water level, thus allowing the selection of Small, Medium and Large loads and the related water level.
Some sensors also use a breather tube, which can become clogged with fluff or debris, causing the same symptom.
Only when the sensor activates, will power be applied to the timer or rotary control unit's little motor, thus causing the cyle to proceed.

I have a MAYTAG washer that was having trouble in

More than likely it has a broken wire underneath that controls the spin. and agitation. I had an old Kenmore that the wire that controls these functions would break about every 6 months.

Using washer with 50Hz instead of 60Hz electricity--what does it

what you need is a frequency convertor. most modern day electrical equipment is 60 hertz. motors and transformers tend to burn up if the frequency isn't correct. they generate a lot of heat which burns them up.

No heat in dryer

if the dryer cycles normally, it is most likely the elements or some part of the controls. turn the dryer on and check the voltage at the elements, if u have voltage then the element is bad.

if no voltage or not enough voltage, then u need to follow the circuit back to see were it stops.

if its on an old fuse system 1 could be blown, this would let it run without heating. the relay that turns the elements on could be bad and not engaging, if all this checks out then the timer is the culprit.

if u need more info msg me please
