In theory, internet activation should be automatic, but you may have to phone activation and explain to the service rep. During install and activation you are given option of doing internet or phone activation. So without further investigation you could simply do the uninstall, install and see what happens. Microsoft no longer supports Office 2007 so may not get a telephone code and it cannot be verified , but you should still be able to use program. but you could also try an extensive web search on software sites but any assistance that you get is purely for educational purposes only and any names or links CANNOT be posted on this forum.

You don't mention the computer make and model and what the original operating system was and what you have on it now. Depending on the age of the computer and what OS you had on it, there have been huge patches and service updates that have basically given uses a new operating system via 'update' downloads.
