Unfortunately there is no provision made to tighten the hinge...as the hinge wears it will become more loose, but there is no way to actually re-tighten the hinge as it is preset in the factory with no means to readjust.

All question need FULL 'make model (what it is)'. You posted to optics, so let's guess is a telescopic rifle sight? It is impossible to see and movement as the crosshairs move such a tiny amount. Half a millimetre in the sight is 10 feet at the target. The only way to zero in sights is on a fixed bench rest at the range. If you really think they are faulty, return them to the maker for repair.
