Photos cannot be sent via text. I am assuming you mean SMS when you refer text. also assuming photos not MMS. you should be able to send photo from smart phone using Apps like WhatsApp or Instagram using Wifi.

This phone is very old. I would recommend either replacing the battery or buying a new one.
