You can actually pick up a Universal remote and not lose any functionality. I have an LCD3210 lost the remote and found the Cox remote (URC-8820-V1.1) to cover the entire remote shown in the user manual. Upon looking at the NEC site, I did not see the option to buy remotes.

You can, depending on your hardware your cable company or satellite provides will determine on if you can or not. Since most Boxes cheap wise come with A/V input/output functions, maybe even an HDMI port or 2. Because it requires an external tuner, your Monitor will not behave like a TV on its own.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. I would GOOGLE the model number to see if manual or error codes are available or search for the NEC site to see what information they have for you.

the lamp on this unit is the all screen , if you need to replace the lamp , you need to replace the all panel

Tv now dosen't worth as a whole tv anymore.Tv now only can be use as a salvage tv for it electronic boards as for parts for other tvs sets that it now.The tvs LCD screen panels u only can buy it from the tvs corporations themselves only no where else.The tvs LCD screen panels are very important to the tvs sets and 90% of it functions and cost.By replacing the tv LCD screen panel will cost the same as a new tv set.

Yes,Ur Main Tuner board is defective,it shorted not letting the incomming signal go through the Tuner board,that why u getting a blank baclklight on the LCD screen.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner board for the replacement.

Try the following code for your TV.

0030, 0056, 0497

1.Turn on the TV.

2.On the remote control, press a device key once ( TV).

3. Press and hold Setup until the selected mode key blinks twice, then release Setup.

4. enter any one of the code listed. If you perform this procedure correctly, the selected mode key will blink twice.

5. Aim the remote control at your device and press Power once.The device should turn off. If it does not respond, repeat steps 2 to 6, trying each code listed

Did you find out what the problem was? I am going to purchase the Main Unit so I hope that is the problem.

Look for bad or vented capacitors on power supply board 1000uf 10v/16v
and Poor solder connections will cause this also if you can solder resolder boards.

a matter of broken electric electric capacitors inside your TV.

Solution:
- Open backplate (loads 'o screws and ruins your warranty)
- Remove the connectors from the center circuit board
- Remove the circuit board via 4 screws located on the side
- Remove plastic on the back of center circuit board
- Remove cooling plates of circuit board
- Look for bulging capacitors
- Solder these out
- Go to local radio shack, take the capacitors (and spend about 5$)
- Resolder new capacitors
- reinstall circuit board
- Hook everything up and close the back plate

Voila! (at least, this worked for me)
