The rollers are slightly 'crowned' fatter in the centre than the edges. If the belt is too tight, it will pull the edges up, or it is has been run too long or too tight, the belt wears in the centre, so being thinner in the centre, it curls. Time for a new belt. Posting pictures is easy. :>D

The manual is dreadfully vague Note: The Console (4) can be operated with an optional power supply instead of batteries. To purchase a power supply, call the toll-free telephone number on the front cover of this manual. Plug one end of the power supply into the jack at the front of the exercise cycle. Plug the other end of the power supply into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Look on both sides of the console and also at the front of the bike itself. I have to say though, if the console didn't work with batteries, it is unlikely to work with a power supply. It is broken and that is why it didn't work with batteries. What you could do is follow the wiring harness as shown in the parts manual from the console down and where it branches off to.. You have to check the Driver circuit board for the motor. There is motor control IGBT Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) in this board .If the IGBT is short then the treadmill will try to run without setting any value or witout pressing the start button. You have to check the OHMS between the seocnd and third of lead of the IGBT. If it shows less than 100 Ohms then the IGBT is short and you have to replace the same. Also you have to check the connection to the control pannel. Is there is any loose conatct. Remove the connection in the motor control board which go to the control pannel and reconnect it. Also check the speed sensor. In most of the treadmill you can find the speed sensor near the motor pully. Remove the speed sensor and clean it and the refix it. Remember one thing remove the power of the treadmill and leave it for 30 minutes then only oppen the treadmill. Because there is high voltage storage capacitors in the motor control board which will hold charge for some time even after the power is disconnected. i ahve added the picture of IGBT for your refference

I have a NordicTrack C2155. Incline not working. There is a schematic inside. There are red, white, & black wires from the circuit board to the incline motor. Unplug the treadmill and have a licensed electrician construct a flying lead cord with a male spade on neutral and female spade plug on hot. Connect neutral to white and hot to where either red or black were connected. Plug in to see if the motor runs. Careful to remove power when the incline reaches its limit and reverse direction. If the motor runs in both directions, the motor is good. Follow the black two conductor wire to the circuit board and unplug from board. Check continuity across this switch. Run motor and this should toggle off and on. If all this checks out then the problem must be with the circuit board. On my treadmill, the schematic says that +5v should supply the sensor, but I only get +3.3v, which is TTL level. The drive motor sensor supply is +5v. The incline motor doesn't even show a sign of trying to run. Either the output transistor is burnt out or the low voltage caused an error so that it does not try to run the motor. Either way, I'm quite certain that a new controller board will remedy the problem.

Wow, lots of scary posts. If I had read this before, I would never have bought it. :) Anyways, there is a solution. I dont think this post was ever resolved, so I ran across this site that offered a few steps that allowed me to fix the reboot issue and a few nice folks who would reply to any questions. This sounds like a common problem with ifit on treadmills. I came across this site a few weeks back and it helped! Check the drive belt. It may be loose or broken. If the belt is loose, then to tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down.

it is trying to calibrate itself, let it go the whole way up and then down without interrupting it. Then it should be fine.
