There is not a volume control for the pick up microphone so either you need to talk louder or check the mic hole to insure it isn't clogged before assuming that the mic itself needs to be replaced.

Don't know if it is the same but I discovered that the triangular icon onmy phone screen was there to show that 'Roaming' was on. When I arrived back in UK it disappeared.

if it hanged,you should be directly off the phone otherwise your setting option having some problem.
