Camera shuts itself off
What is the age of the camera and how well used are the batteries? are you recording from battery or from power cable? The only things you can do are make sure the battery and power is good and make sure the recording media is good. With that in mind if the camera is older than 5 years, they have a battery inside the case that you cannot change. This battery keeps the date and time in memory and when it looses charge, the camera has to be sent in for repairs.

Camera shuts itself off
Since the online reviews of this model date from 2008, it is at least ten years old. Maybe it is just worn out and needs replacing ?

Is there a way to
I have been playing around with UV but have not found one the works. except years ago I found that the cameras that were now available on cell phones was a great way to see if your TV remote was working,
so you can use this feature on your phone to help you find the light thats not visible to the eye but your camera will dig it
ones i tried w my Lumix FZ70 using ebay
#1 is 9pcs Array LED Illuminator IR Infrared Night Vision Light for IP Cameras.
#2 1pcs 4IR LED Infrared Illuminator Light IR Night Vision for CCTV Security Camera
both work well for security cameras but failed with my lumix and the 4ir seem to burn out quickly
I'm a hopeless cheapdate and refuse to spend 2-3 hundred on a light. let me know wht ya find ?

I'm unable to record with
- Like all the old video recorders there are mechanical parts inside what need cleaning in high priority the parts that mechanical activate switches for the intake in the little microcontactsswitches and the most important of all are mechanical mode-select-switches where timing is an hot issue
- The entire process is timed often gears are used, but sometimes also strings that can slip by age and or dirt, cleaning and contact cleaner and look for bad soldering.
- Also check that the lens motor for the aperture setting is working properly, because everything concerns mechanical settings when that failure then stops the device.
Also the zoom lens motor that are the first mechanical parts after the tape was lace in. all must exactly done in a special short timing.

My cemera hade aproblum autooff unloadinglock what was the solution
hi,
I couldn't under stand the question, I guess that there may be snag in cassette drive mechanism, just look inside the mechanism for any loose or missing part like pinch roller, cassette reel holder, reel guide, inclined post etc, if all visibly ok, then the fault may be in power supply circuitry.

Tape door won't close because tape tray won't go down
If the battery is charged, and the power is on, it may be jammed and in need of cleaning. If that is all normal the motor for the tape door may be damaged or has died. Insure tape position is correct and only push where marked.
