Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Please try to remove the battery and let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. This should reset the system and can resolve the problem.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

You may try to format the memory card and then try again. If needed, you can use a camera photo recovery tool to recover photos from memory card.

Yes, you can clean. Not as complex as I originally thought.
1) Remove all of the silver screws
2) Separate the silver case (should split in 2)
3) Remove the 3 black screws in the middle
4) remove the center square cover that is over the lens
5) Use a duster spray to clean the lense and mirror
6) Reassemble in reverse order
Not knowing what I was going to get in, the entire process only took about 7-10 minutes.

Email me at malhokc1@yahoo.com with any questions.

First of all, you can't rotate a video without some expensive software installed on your computer and even then, the results will be poor at best. Download Quicktime from Apple to play your video...it's a free download.

Your PC may be infected by some virus who hide the folders and contents of External drives, try searching the contents via Windows explorer Searchbox , for advance options - try cleaning your external drive by "diskpart"
1. Open CMD as administrator.
2. type "diskpart" press enter.
3. type "List disk" press enter, a list of disk attached to your PC will appear.
4. Identify & Select your external drive by typing "Sel disk 2" press enter, supposing that external disk is 2.
5. ATTENTION: this will erase all data of your selected disk. Type "Clean" press enter. wait few seconds.......
6. Type "Create Partition Primary" wait few seconds....
7. Type "Format fs=ntfs Quick" press enter. wait few seconds.....
8. Re insert your drive and check for Issues .. GOOD LUCK !

If persists, post with screenshots

O.I.S. stands for Optical Image Stabilizer, the error is probably the result of the lens locating pings slipping and the gear teeth are out of sync. This in NOT a home fix, it is considered a 'fatal error' If it is under warranty return it to Panasonic, if not go to KEH.com and request a quote on a repair. Inside the camera is a HIGH VOLTAGE AC MAINS CAPACITOR, and it can produce an electric shock that can be fatal.

Turn the camera on as if you wanted to take photos.
Next, on the back of the camera, press the center button marked "MENU/SET".
Press the left button to select the icons on the side.
Press the down button until you are on the 'wrench' icon.
Push the right button once.
Now scroll down until you reach an icon that shows a face speaking.
Press the right button once.
Now you can scroll up and down to select the language you want.
Press the center button when you have "ENGLISH" selected.

No one sells a suggested replacement, as I like to say "anything can be fixed" so as a non suggested solution to your problem. I could not get an accurate representation on the net but you can replace the battery once you open it to see what the size (dimensions) and specs (voltage and amperage), then at which point we can find someone that makes the battery that would be compatible with that unit. You can also pay a local repair guy to do it. Because none of this is cost effective I'm gonna say just replace it but if you must keep it, that should get you in the right direction. good luck
