On our panasonic DMC - SZ6, the lense cover won't open when turned on
Lens covers are delicate things. A bit of dust or dirt inside and the the springs can't do their job. When cleaning doesn't work, to repair this I remove the lens cover and shorten the springs by cutting off a bit and then reattaching them. A small bit of mollyd to lubricate helps too. never use oil or silicone.
DMC-FX01 does not support sdhc cards
FX-01 was good camera in it's day but it has been out for 12 years and times have changed. That said, you can still get 1GB and 2 GB SD old-style cards on ebay and other sites. By the way, why hunt for a way to shoot on a 4GB+ card anyway? Low resolution (this one is 6mp) digital cameras with high capacity cards is a recipe for disastrous data loss. As long as your original cards for this camera are not corrupt just keep re-using those.
How do I defeat the flash on a Panasonic DMC-TZ3?
In the Flash menu, there is an option for Forced Flash Off. Press the Flash button to the right of the Menu button. Then use the up down arrows to move to this option. (It's at the bottom of the list.) Then press Menu to set the option to the Flash Off. This is shown on page 36 of the manual for the DMC-TZ3. I found a copy of the manual here:
http://panasonic.ae/en/manuals/DMC-TZ3.pdf .
Your pictures may have exposure or blurring issues in this mode. The shutter will stay open longer to attempt to gather enough light.
I hope this helps.

HOW TO TRANSFER PICTURE FILES FROM A PANASONIC DMC-Z19 CAMERA
I guess you want to upload your pictures to a computer? Panasonic cameras come with a special USB cable that plugs into a receptacle that is covered by a flap on the side of the camera. If you don't have the right cable, you can remove the SD card and put it in a reader attached to the computer.

DMC-SZ02 Lens disassembly
Unless you can get a shop manual and read the procedure, don't rush it. Visit a local Panasonic shop and ask them nicely to share the info about it. They have all manuals at hand and may let you dig in.
I was pleasantly surprised by their support once I had to fix up my Panasonic Digicam.
Try it and good luck with your project.

Answer is in the manual - in case you don't have it please do this:
To change selected picture effects ([Creative Control] menu)Press [MENU/SET]
Use cursor button to select [Creative Control] menu and press [MENU/SET]
Press up/down to select a setting ( there are a few eg. Sepia, Retro, Soft Focus, Expressive, Toy etc, and then press [MENU/SET] ( pressing DISP should give you an explanation of what each item selected does)
