Panasonic DMC-ZS5 How to download pictures? Equipment needed ?

If you want to use a computer to read the internal memory or the SD card in the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5, you will need the correct USB cable, which is an 8-pin micro USB (M) to USB A cable, . (One example: https://www.amazon.com/dCables-Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-ZS5-Cable/dp/B00448MAWK ) Then ensure that the camera is fully charged or is getting additional power (AC adapter or DC coupler). After connecting the camera to the computer, you should be able to transfer files from File Explorer (Windows) or the Desktop (Mac). This may depend on your OS, see page 140 of the Advanced Features Manual for the supported OS versions. (Check Windows compatibility for later Windows version compatibility.) With Windows XP, Vista or 7, you can also use the PhotoFunStudio that came on the CD with the camera. There is an update to the software here: http://av.jpn.support.panasonic.com/support/global/cs/soft/download/pfs50.html . See the manual for using the PhotoFunStudio software. The direct link to the Advanced Feature manual is ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/camera/om/dmc-zs7_adv_en_om.pdf . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

My Panasonic Lumix TZ80 has an aperture of F2.8 but when I shoot, the smallest I get is 4.4! Howcome?

What focal length (zoom?)-as you zoom, apature changes. You have to have lens at wide settings to get lowest f-stop readings.

How do I defeat the flash on a Panasonic DMC-TZ3?

In the Flash menu, there is an option for Forced Flash Off. Press the Flash button to the right of the Menu button. Then use the up down arrows to move to this option. (It's at the bottom of the list.) Then press Menu to set the option to the Flash Off. This is shown on page 36 of the manual for the DMC-TZ3. I found a copy of the manual here: http://panasonic.ae/en/manuals/DMC-TZ3.pdf . Your pictures may have exposure or blurring issues in this mode. The shutter will stay open longer to attempt to gather enough light. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Can't upload photos from Lumix

Anything you try has to be compatible with Windows XP. Whenever Microsoft come out with a new operating system (example Win 10) they suspend support for an older OS. (example Win XP, and Vista) This lets all manufacturers know that their new products and accessories no longer have to be compatible with the older OS, but need to be compatible with the new one. Therefore, your card reader has to be XP compatible as well. Hope this helped.

DMC-SZ02 Lens disassembly

Unless you can get a shop manual and read the procedure, don't rush it. Visit a local Panasonic shop and ask them nicely to share the info about it. They have all manuals at hand and may let you dig in.
I was pleasantly surprised by their support once I had to fix up my Panasonic Digicam.
Try it and good luck with your project.

HOW TO TRANSFER PICTURE FILES FROM A PANASONIC DMC-Z19 CAMERA

I guess you want to upload your pictures to a computer? Panasonic cameras come with a special USB cable that plugs into a receptacle that is covered by a flap on the side of the camera. If you don't have the right cable, you can remove the SD card and put it in a reader attached to the computer.

On our panasonic DMC - SZ6, the lense cover won't open when turned on

Lens covers are delicate things. A bit of dust or dirt inside and the the springs can't do their job. When cleaning doesn't work, to repair this I remove the lens cover and shorten the springs by cutting off a bit and then reattaching them. A small bit of mollyd to lubricate helps too. never use oil or silicone.
