with this Camera, if I am not mistaken, you need a 24v ac power inducter. ( think that is the right name ). It will put the power in the coax that will feed the camera. Yes both video and power can be carried on the same wire at the same time.

Check for settings with your internet provider's crowd support, as they can be very help full on these complicated settings.

Hi, well this maybe because that Win 7 may not support this device & driver? Win 7 has problems unless the drivers are specifically written for Win 7. or perhaps try installing and running in "Compatibility Mode for XP SP2", this too may help?
Another thing to check, is that everything is installed, and run as Administrator, and that UAC is set to OFF.
Another thing to check, if 64 bit system, is that the driver is digitally signed for Win 7, and or that Digital Driver Signing is turned OFF too, this is done, at boot up by pressing F8, and selecting it from near the bottom of the menu. If this is the case it must be done every time one boots.
Another thing is the Firewall, make sure that you punch a hole out through the FW, and all settings here are correct. Again install and run the main .exe as Administrator and UAC off.

If password was assigned, you could try the following: Remove all the cover screws from unit, open cover, remove battery. With battery removed - turn on power for approx 10 seconds. so far, you cannot view the Panasonic WJ-Series Recorder using other browser than Microsoft Internet Explorer. because it use ActiveX Component to view the Video. you can acess the Web Base interface of the DVR, just input the IP Address of the DVR, set disable pop up blocker for your browser, then it will show. in some case, other browser than Internet explorer won't show the web correctly.

Hi there is no Password reset to default. in order to restore the camera setting to default are by doing a restore to default inside the configuration page, or , by doing hard reset on the camera by pressing the reset button

Hi in some case, you need to check the compatibility view settings in the Microsoft IE. - go to "Tools->Compatibility view settings" - add the ip address of your DVR - try open the DVR web.
