How to remove a pentair ultraflow seal plate that seems to be stuck
I know how frustrating this can be sometimes but what you need to do is first, you will need to first shut off the power to the pump and disconnect the suction and discharge lines. Then, use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the housing cover and locate the seal plate. Once the seal plate is located, use a pair of adjustable pliers or a spanner to loosen the four screws that hold the seal plate in place. Finally, use a rubber mallet to tap the seal plate to break it loose and remove it.
