Polaris 380 wheels not turning
If your Pol wheel sometimes stops turning and you could force it half a turn to make it go again. Chances are that you have the same problem as mine: HAIR GETS AROUND THE AXIL OF THE DRIVE WHEEL.
This can be fixed by first removing the wheel cap with a flat head screwdriver, then remove the retaining clip that holds the wheel in place. (Be careful not to lose the clip!). Remove the wheel and remove the hair around the axil. Put things back in reverse order. You are set.
Water comes out of the tail of polaris 360, but tail does not sweep.
check the filter in the wall of the pool where the Polaris line hooks up, it got a small filter in it. you are running it on low-pressure that's why it not sweeping, could also be a plugged impeller on the booster pump.

How can I shorten the chain on a Polaris 3900 pool sweep
Curious to know why it needs shortening. The machine should have an automatic tensioner inside that keep the chain right. I am unaware of any way, or any need, to shorten the chain.
Get on YouTube or a Polaris site to see if all your internal parts are present and functioning correctly.
Do the Polaris 3900 tires ever need to be replaced?
It would be incredible if the machine lasted that long to replace the tires but t is possible. If you use it frequently and have run it for ball park 5 to 10 years then I would look at replacing them. Simply take a look at a replacement tires treads. if your are 50 percent or more worn I would get new ones.
Polaris 280 moves around pool ,screens not clogged water still spraying up toward bag but not picking anything up
Hi, even though the two jets appear to be spraying upwards, the force may be diminished by partially blocked nozzles. To check remove the debris bag and observe jet action as cleaner is held near water surface. the action must be strong enough to shoot well into the air. If not, then often a piece of wire can be inserted into jets to dislodge the debris. you may have to do this one or more times.
the other cause of insufficient jet pressure is that the feed hose to jets has ruptured or the zip strip retainer has broken. unit must then be partially disassembled.
Sport 3900 is doing wheelies will not stay level to clean
1. Check the wheel RPM. If not in the 30-36 RPM range, refer to the manual for adjusting the wheel RPM.
2. Adjust the thrust jet downward.
3. Verify the backup valve is cycling. Lift the valve out of the water and watch the jet. It should come on and go off.
4. Check for water inside the head float.
5. Empty the filter bag.
You can download the 3900 Manual from the Polaris site

It will show you how to check the wheel rpm and how to adjust the thrust jet and check and adjust the float.
