I can only believe that you did not connect everything (the yellow video cable) correctly.

Tape to tape copies are normal and typical. Please consider retrying - and just do a few minutes of test video to confirm that it is working.

If you were doing a digital translation, I could understand a problem - but VHS to VHS should be a straight copy.....
Let us know how the test works. (BTW, I had a bad quality video cable - and had to replace it with another - which worked (and everything would display on my TV but would not copy onto another tape. My expert said that a copy protection thing in the record mode of the VHS recorder was the issue - ONLY a strong signal will be copied.

I gather, from your somewhat garbled post, that you wish advice on charging your equipment. Full instructions will, of course, be in the manual, but as a start I would suggest plugging one end of the lead into the item, the other into an active wall socket.

If your are still looking for an answer... The camera has some bad capacitors on one, or more, of the internal boards. I had the same problem. There's a man named Cameron in Florida that can fix it (AV Repair), but it won't be cheap! I had him fix mine... it cost $350.00! But I love my camera... filmed many, many, things with it. It works great, and looks professional, and is... recorded tapes have excellent quality, and when transfered to DVD they can be enhanced (if you need to)!
