Roland street cube won't power on due to battery acid leak

Most likely the acid ate the internal power supply, but if you can dis-assemble it and clean any trace of gunk with a toothbrush and electronic cleaner, including the fuse and it's contacts, maybe you'll get lucky.

Boss br8. I have no power is there a fuse inside the machine?

There should be a fuse on the power supply board inside the unit. If it is not that then it is most likely the board itself. You can get a replacement at Allied Electronics.

How to I get access to the inside of a Roland HP1700L digital piano?

George, I would recommend getting a tech to do this one- a Roland is an expensive instrument, and I would seriously rather someone else was to blame if something happened! :)

I have a RMP-5 Rhythm Coach. I cannot get any sound from the pad when I practice. Help

Hi, after doing a bit of googling it occurs to me that the internal speaker is ONLY for the metronome / click & not for the drum sounds themselves. You will need headphones or some external audio gear like your hi-fi system or oth r amp & speaker. I found this "The pad has 54 sounds in it (covering all parts of the drum kit but mostly snares), which are triggered when you hit the mesh head, but these can only be heard over headphones. The built in speaker is only used by the metronome sound (when there are no headphones attached) and then it only has a beep sound attached to it. However, plug in headphones and you get a variety of available click sounds including a proper ticking clockwork metronome." Hope that helps a little? Good Luck :-)

A rOLAND G6 A PRESONUS 16.02 A MPC500 AND A MAC TO WORK WITH PRO TOOLS. I need a diagram and what wires to buy so it works all through pro tools 9

You will need a usb mixer or some other usb audio interface. Most likely whatever you purchase will come with installation instructions. Make sure whatever you get has more inputs than you need for future expansion.

Is it possible to connect my Boss multiple effects ME-25 to my BR-800 recorder. If so how, and can it then be linked to an amp (again how)

Hello Alan. Yes you can connect your ME-25 to the BR-800, there is no risk to damage any. it is simple, you may use both outputs of the pedal and send them via two normal 1/4 plug guitar cables to two of the channels of the DR (i.e. ch 1 & 2) to avoid an initial saturation of the recording preamp, set the input sens pot at minimum and the sliders very close to minimum as you try playing and looking the levels on the display and adjunting them to the optimum. To connect the DR to an amp you should use the pair of RCA jacks named LINE OUT (R & L) depending of the amp you have there might be the need for a conversion cable or plug adapters. The out put of the DR is stereo, and if you want to use a guitar amp, commonly mono, you should mix both channels to send them to one input, this can be done by putting two 10 kohms resistors in series with each channel output and joining the other end to the input. Good luck and best wishes

I was wondering if it is normal that my piano down-tunes while I am playing.

No, it's not normal. To determine if it's a setting glitch or a hardware problem, perform a factory reset and see if the problem continues. If it does, it's a hardware problem and needs to go to the shop. Here's the reset instructions- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Xavte8p3Qc

I am hearing a buzz when i turn on the mic. What's the solution, can you let me know please?

Buzz is almost always a grounding. Check the soldering. If you are not comfortable with that get a known working mic and cord and try that out.

How do I connect my roland piano 5500 to an amp

On the rear of the piano there will be two 1/4" jacks labeled Output Left and Right. One will be labled Mono as well. If you are using a stereo amp, use both, and if a mono amp use just the mono output. If your amp is a guitar type, connect a shielded cable with 1/4" phone jacks such as you'd use with an electric guitar from these jacks to your amplifier. If you are useing a home stereo amp, you will need a cable with 1/4" phone jacks from the piano to RCA phono jacks on the amp end.

Can you please tell me the best amp that I can use to hook up a Roland SPD 30, I'm looking for one to get volume. ( loud ).

Hi, With my sound engineers hat on I would use a small PA. mixer, amp and speakers!!!! For quality you need a full, flat frequency range system with good headroom. I assume this is for your own listening, when using an acoustic kit? There are one box solutions.
  1. Drum amps. Like a monitor wedge with an amp, Roland do a PM-10, Various other makes are available.
  2. General purpose powered wedge.
  3. Keyboard Amp, these are full range and available in various sizes.
  4. Bass amp with high frequency driver (tweeter), not the best but will have good bottom end.
  5. Powered or active speaker, much like a powered wedge, but a different shape, needs an input volume control.
All these systems need to have large bass units, 10 inch minimum, and will be in mono. Two will give you stereo, How loud depends primarily on the sensitivity of the speaker. But manufactures insist on selling things by power. Worth looking this up. At a couple of feet away, 20 watts should do it, with high sensitivity speakers, more likely you find most things as above start at about 70 Watts. Good luck, I hope I have widened you choices a bit. All the best, Chris the Fader.
