Request the schematic diagrams from Boss.

It could be that the wrong adapter had too high voltage.

I am lead to believe this device has an internal fuse which has likely blown and needs replacing. If not then then it will need a specialist to determine if it can be repaired.

Being mainly digital, I would reset the processor and try again.

Hi. I had the same problem and fixed it by clearing all the phrases. An explanation of how to do this is below (written by someone else, not me) But, expect your guide beat to now sound like a fuzz instead of a drum. This really sucks and there is apparantly no fix for the guide sound except to send it back to Boss. Good luck.

1. Start by selecting Phrase 1.

(if the 'REVERSE' or 'AUTO START' are lit press them off.)

2. Select 'INST & MIC' by pressing 'MODE'

3. Hold down 'EXIT' and 'AUTO START' together - at the same time, this should light up the green LED for 'LOOP PHASE'

4. Hold down 'WRITE' and 'EXIT' together
then hold 'WRITE' on its own
then 'WRITE' and 'EXIT' together again...as if you were clearing a phrase.

they should light up in red and flash, if not try a combo of section 4.

5. Repeat on all Phrases 1 - 11.

I have figured out a way to get around this problem without losing your data or sending it to Roland. I have three roland 2480s and have 4 hard drives. Buy another spare drive and when you load up to a different IDE drive shut it down, then put the old drive back into the unit and it will boot from the last known ide. Make sure it is not the same IDE # that was giving you the problem. You will get at your files but you better start to backup and defrag. I will not delete files on my roland unless I am willing to defrag. Buy an extra drive from a third party. You can see a company that sells this stuff on ebay and they are very good. Open up the Roland G-70 and check if all the connectors and flatcables are well seated. Check also if the power supply is working as supposed to.

i moved you from computers to music + roland. it needs service, find a shop to fix it; IT RAN FOR 1995 TO NOW, 26YEARS FRANKLY AN AMAZING RUN. FOR SURE. it needs service, you have 2 choices besides upgrade. 1: shop fix it. 2: buy the service manual and learn electronics. check DC power rails inside first and fuses .

Did you ever fix it? Mine is doing it now.

Do you have an owner's manual......first thing to try would be a factory reset...sometimes this will un-scramble the operating system and set it back to when it left the factory....contact Roland for an owner's manual if you don't have one....hopefully this helps..if not, then you will have to open it up.....

Have you tried a different output cable? I know, it seems simple, but it's often the problem. If you have and the problem remains, I suggest calling the manufacturer to see if there is a known problem. Many manufacturers have a website & service number for resolving problems with their products.

Somehow you have activated the mode to download a new operating system into the unit. It likely is expecting the new SW to be presented form source such as MIDI, USB, or stick.

Get it out of that mode before something gets clobbered. DO a Factory reset which will consists of holding certain buttons and turning power on. Find this procedure in your user manual.

Roland Juno gi program error problem

First you need to make sure that the keyboard is programmed to accept the DP-10 as factory default and then that the DP-10 is working perfectly. There is a case where the DP-10 action switch is activated directly, in this case the sustain does not stop and you need to change the micro switch of the DP-10 pedal. It has already happened to me and I replace it by adapting another micro because Roland does not support you and wants you to buy another DP-10.

no solution from me but if you want to sell your MV 30 I would love to buy as I have one with a working screen but a non-working floppy drive
