Dryer will not turn on.
Robert, this sounds like your motor is out. Depending on the age of the dryer, you might want to look into anew model or replace your motor. While you're in there, clean out all the lint real good! Hope this helps you!
Dryer not heating
If your dryer won\'t heat up the first thing to do is clean out the vent from the back of your dryer up to the roof. (or where ever your vent leads to). You will have to clean it our from both ends. Use a vacuum cleaner that has the ability to switch and BLOW air rather than suck air to blow it through. This usually fixes the problem because there is no air flow and it takes HOURS to dry. If that doesn\'t work then look at the back of your dryer. MAKE SURE IT IS UNPLUGGED IN EVERY EVENT! Then disconnect the wires one at a time and clean and reconnect to make sure you have a good solid connection. Plug back in and see how if it works.

Heats up but turns off
Most likely you have a control board problem. All those issuse point to the only thing that effects all those parts/functions of the dryer. This is about a $100 part. Call Sears parts and get a quote or go to http://www.searspartsdirect.com. Labor to replace will be in the $80-120 price range unless you bring it to a repair shop which could be cheaper.
