How much oil is required to change oil on a ryobi s430
I'd like an answer to that question also.
Exactly, how much oil does the X430 take?
... what is the capacity?
I do not need to know the oil type or that it is a 4 stroke and not a 2 stroke, thus no mix. I need to know the total oil capacity of the unit.
I cannot tell if it is full. If the unit is level, it reads one thing. If the oil reservoir top at the plug is to be level.

Ryobi 40v trimmer. The string feeds longer and the motor starts to really labor to keep working, then motor starts burning once it gets into thicker weeds. What causes this and how can I fix it?
All the strimmers of my experience have a sharp blade set in the guard to cut the string when it exceeds a maximum length - maybe it is blunt or missing.
"Thicker weeds" could be too much for a cordless grass trimmer that can only be efficient when it is running at maximum speed. Thicker weeds are likely to slow down the motor and prevent it cutting efficiently, reduce the amount of cooling air through the motor while increasing the current being consumed by the motor; hence an overheating motor.
It is one of the physical laws that a horsepower can't be got out of a machine that doesn't have more than a horsepower going into it. With a cordless drill/driver there is a gearbox to provide a huge mechanical advantage - the motor turns fast and the chuck turns slowly, a grass trimmer can't have that advantage and with the power input being severely limited, the capability of the machine is similarly very limited.
My 22cc petrol strimmer struggles and slows down when it encounters thicker weeds and needs a deal of patience and consumes string at a much greater rate. In the early days of the strimmer engine sizes as small as 16cc were available but over the decades they have grown significantly because they weren't powerful enough to provide satisfactory performance. Today I don't think I could buy my 22cc strimmer again.

When in operation the Ryobi S430 string trimmer
Ryobi told me the unit can't have the s430 trimmer bottom end raised higher than the engine at any time, or it will leak. Apparently they released a product to compete with other companies for cheap 4 cycle trimmers without much care for the end user.
