My Samsung front load dryer is making a dinging noise but seems to be drying okay. I can't find anything regarding this in the trouble shooting manual.

Well, is it when your load is done? then it starts back up again and makes the noise?... If so, it's the wrinkle reducer feature, you can turn it off. Hope I helped, Mike

I have a samsung dryer model # de42h5000 that will not heat. I did find the outside vent was plugged so it has now been cleaned. Is there a fuse or reset button on this model?

It's possible if it was plugged you could have burnt something out. You don't state whether it's an electric or gas dryer. i say to get a professional person to check it out. That may be cheaper in the long run.

I need to install a heating element #dc9714486a in

there are two jumper wires, put one from the bottom of the middle t-stat and the other end to the heater, put the other jumper from the top of the middle t-stat to the back t-stat,put the long red wire to the heater that comes from the motor and the other wire and that's usually a long blue wire from the board to the back t-stat,he should have left it all connected until the new part came in so you don't loose any screws and you don't mess up any of the wires.
