i hve the same problem. I turned on my Sharp Aquos lc-32d62u HDTV last night for the first time, but it is black and a blinking green light.

There has to be a menu for picture settings affecting contrast and brightness. Just be patient and you will find them.. Or go to sharp web page for manual download.

Did any of this suggestions work? I'm having exactly the same issue over here, I did the "remove the batteries and touch all the buttons" thing and nothing, I guess I'll have to carry out the more technical procedures

You are paying fios good bucks for service so let them earn it by getting your system to work with their gear as intended. Make sense? It is THEIR not yours. U did not have this issue with the other company!
