E17 means the machine has gone out balance. Normally, if you untangle the clothes and shut the lid, it will start again. This will tangle the clothes and cause it to go out of balance every load. Have a look under the machine, if there is black / brown oily stains all over the bottom of the cabinet, it is almost certain the clutch has failed. In most cases, its cheaper to buy a new machine.

hi there, i have the same machine and just got the E50 after son loaded the machine, ... to correct it i pulled out the load of washing, turned machine off and also at the powerpoint for a couple of minutes...- if you do not turn off at the powerpoint , the machine will continue to give E50. i then reloaded machine with half of sons load and had no problem after. note: his jeans and jacket was wound tight around the agitator and the load was way too full. hope this helps you. :)

Make your laundry more varied for the size of garments. For instance it you are doing all bath towels, they will tent to bunch up on one side. If you do less towels, a few shirts and your undies, they will even out the load better.

Check for debris in the immeller section of the pump. Possibly a coin .

When you put a smaller load in and it fills up and starts there is less water in that smaller load and you're bigger load I think you have a problem with either the sensor on the circuit board or the pipe that goes from the bottom of the drum up to the circuit board. water pushes up that pipe and forces air into a sensor there could be a problem with the sensor or the pipe, maybe the pipe has Lint in it and it needs to be cleaned.
