mcdevito75 here, There can be many, many reasons why a watch stops ticking, Have you wound the watch?? is the watch a Quartz?? when did you have it cleaned and oiled last?? how old is the watch??. You can try this, Reset the time on your watch, at times, pulling out the stem and moveing the hands will get a watch to start ticking again, primarily in older watches. If your watch is brand new, then the best course of action is to return it to where you purchased it. A modern quartz watch (even the really cheap ones) should not lose time at that rate. You paid good money and got a substandard watch - take it back.
