Turn off Norton Automatic Renewal service

1. Open your computer's Web browser and navigate to the Symantec update page. (See Resources.)
2. Download the newest update for Norton Antivirus from the options provided on the Symantec anti-virus update page by selecting the hyperlink on the download page. Select the hyperlink for the Norton Antivirus program. You will also see options for Norton 360, and other Norton products that will not work with the Norton Antivirus application.
3. Double-click the update file downloaded to your computer and follow any default menu prompts that appear.
4. Restart your computer after the program updates are finished.
5. Open Norton Antivirus by double-clicking the program icon on your computer's desktop, and the current updates will be reflected on the Norton control panel.

Note that you need to use "Add/Remove Programs" to remove your existing anti-virus software, before installing most anti-virus software, such as the Microsoft Security Essentials software.

However, the Microsoft 'MRT' and the PREVX tool can be used as "diagnosis-and-repair" tools, without any uninstalling.

This error occurs for many different reasons, mainly it could be a firewall or anti-virus blocking ports that WinFax uses for fax sharing, or it could be Service Pack 2 or 3 that was installed that causes these ports to be blocked.

It also could be that you installed version 10.04 overtop an older version like 10.02, which will cause problems.

Get Rid of Norton.
Go to www.trendmicro.com, and do the free scan Trend Micro's House Call virus, spyware and malware scanner and cleaner. http://housecall.trendmicro.com

Download Spybot Search & Destroy. Restart computer, then run Spybot to see what spyware comes up, AND DELET IT.

FYI---Virus Protection-- 2 programs of virus protection will conflict with each other and will actually cancel out the protection. SO just download one.

Running Spybot Search & Destroy with EITHER Avast or Avg (great Free virus protection programs ) will keep a computer in good working condition. FREE

There are alot of $ anti-virus and Internet security programs out there-ie: Norton, McAfee, Panda, Bitdefender. If you would like to pay $ then get ***Kaspersky***-- 2010 , I feel that is the best for your money.

If your anti virus will not update try to access an online trojan sccnner Symantec has one. If you can not access the site or complete the scan you most likely have Win32.Worm.Downadup.Gen.
It prevents any access to any antivirus software and windows updates it also turns off any installed antivirus updates. Removal is actually really simple just go here

Certain types of software react strangely when the old software version is present. Make certain you have removed the old version then install the new one. Other wise contact Norton and they will send you a new security pass to access the version.

Hi Insert the disk into your PC, and it should start automatically. You then just follow the instructions, clicking next to move on from stage to stage. Use your current email address for Norton account to register Norton. There is no need to make saperate account.

Please download free Microsoft Security Essential if you have genuine Windows copy. Its best antivirus from Microsoft.

Its illegal to use pirated key. Better if you install Microsoft Security Essential free antivirus for genuine windows copy. Its totally free and Best antivirus.

Its a subscription version to try for a month. So if you want to keep it you have to buy a license version.

You can get the product key, but the problem is whenever you go online it will detect the activation history as a expired. It is better that if you have genuine windows version, then download Microsoft's free Security Essential.

One of the possible problem is the slow internet connection. Or you need to reinstall the Norton to work update manually by live update.

Click on windows Start menu button and select Devices and Printers option on right side of menu. There you will find you list of printers on printers and faxes tab. Right click on HP deskjet D2530 printer and select Set as default printer. Then try to print your documents.
