My ls4278 is not lighting.
The most unlikely scenario is that all the bases are defective. If you power your PC off every night, you should purchase a power supply so the scanners can continuously charge. Another issue may be that you need new batteries (also unlikely if they stopped working at the same time). Also try swapping scanners and bases (one scanner from one base and place it with another base) make sure you firmly place the bottom of the scanner in the base to verify there is a good connection with the charging pins. We are here to help if you have further questions.

The scanner engine/output can be used only by one application. If a second application is trying to access the scanner, while in use. The error message will come.
Please check if there are more applications running in background.
Usual MC9090 applications with scanner drivers are Telnet, Datawedge, Rapid Deployment and custom software.
Exit one of the application or try to exit all of them.
Start your scanning application again, no error should appear now.

MC9090 Stuck Warm Booting
Here you can find links to both clean boot files for the WM5.0 and WM6.1 OS for the MC9090. If you need the full WM5.0 OS you can download it
here. For upgrades to WM6.1 from WM5.0 fill out
this form and BCTP will help you out.
My MC9090-G scanner is stuck
Actually if it is continuously rebooting, it is usually because someone was holding down the trigger through a cold boot process. That's what puts it into this continuous reboot loop. To get out of it do a cold boot again (pop the battery part of the way out, hold down the power button and trigger simultaneously, and then push the battery back in while the power button and trigger are still down). But as soon as you push in the battery to the point where you hear it click, release the trigger. If you hold it in too long, the unit will start continuously rebooting.
