Hello, I have the tannoy mercury v1i and I want to replace the tweeter (25 mm (1")) and I do not know how many ohms, how many watts to get for this particular speaker , suggest me please, John

Speaker impedance of 8 ohms suggests home hifi use though the stated performance is typical of a bookshelf speaker, designed to be at the "reasonable" end of the market - reasonable performance, reasonable quality, reasonable cost and suitable for a wide range of volume settings at the lower end of the scale... Constructor catalogues generally offer a wide range of loudspeaker drive units including tweeters and mostly provide pictures. If you want to avoid modifying anything simply choose one that looks like yours and then check the description fits.

One of my Tannoy R1 speakers fell from about 6 feet high. It landed on its side flat, didn’t really bounce. I hooked it up again, and yeah, sounded like it was at half power and was fuzzy. Looking inside everything looked good, connections were solid, speaker was not ripped or dented. I couldn’t find a fuse, not even sure if there is supposed to be one. What’s the best way to further troubleshoot to fix the damage?

The speakers consist of an induction coil, and a magnet attached to the cone. You have damaged something internally or the cone itself. Speakers don't have fuses unless they are powered speakers with mains input and an amplifier. You need the speaker repaired or replaced. Dear friends, I cannot get a replacement tweeter for the Tannoy Eyris 2 Sycamore. The company Real Electronics replied that these tweeters are no longer available. Where to order. Thank you, Ctirad.

If the company say they are no longer made, then it's unlikely you will find replacements in any electrical parts supplier. If you still want to use the unit then you will have to look around for one on places like e-bay, which might be faulty elsewhere , but have a working tweeter. A search on e-bay itself might even reveal a spare tweeter! Or a second hand that's cheap to replace the one you have. At least you will another set of spares (except tweeter of course) for the new one!

On the images on Google for them there are no extra wires. Where are the wires on them? Do all the drive units work? If the wires are for the super tweeter. Then looking around at the Google images it should be possible to unscrew the 4 screws holding the tweeters on top and you should be able to push the wires back inside the unit, if they are not connected to anything. Or at least see where they do connect.

Derrick, not all cabinet speakers were meant to be replace, not saying it can not be done, but they could be epoxied in. "I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. Check out some of my other posts if you need more tips and info."

Getting very low volumn only and lots of crackling if turned up

As long as it is only the speaker that is playing up and not the amp. Then more that likely it will be something on the crossover circuit that is the problem. If you look at that and see semi-conductors (transistors, IC, etc) on it. Then one or more of them could be the problem.

I work in a church that has 4 passive speakers across the room, 3 out of 4 of them sound super muffled and n one of them sound perfect Ive tried switching power amps, there is no processing help?

I would say from your description that the tweeters are blown. Can you take the speaker that sounds good and swap it out with one that sounds bad. If you do that and the good one still sounds good. You have a tweeter problem. And they would need to be replaced.
