On my toshiba tablet,I forgot my pass word.how do I reset it?

Not sure about specifics on toshiba tablets, but wanted to suggest that on other tablets you can hold the up volume(sometimes others its volume down) and power button at sane time for about 10+seconds and a menu will pop up for a rebooting, safe mode, and factory restart(which erases and reboots from scratch) worth a shot.. Yet, be careful what you select if it works.. Don't want you to erase stuff if you don't want to.... And btw most tablets have a little pin size hole either under the camera lense or on side that something like a paper clip can push a reset button... But don't think that helps with password.. Just if it freezes up and won't shut down... Good luck.. Sorry if this doesn't help...

Toshiba is famous for overheating problems, blow out your cooling fan with canned air. Also another fairly common issue with the M4 is memory module seating, basically the memory modules/sticks werent put in properly by the factory...i know..go figure. Remove the memory panel from the back of the unit and remove the memory stick/s. Should be 2 of them, be gentle, and then just simply reinstall them back where they were making sure they are seated in the slots firmly, then replace the memory cover and fire it back up. This worked on 4 or 5 ive repaired with similar issues. Hope this helps you as well.

No sound from built in speakers.

The bleep cold be just a bleep device separate from the speakers. It looks like a round piece of aluminum with a large dot of white solid past on it with a wire attached. 1st. make sure the volume is up all the way. Then try using a headphone just to make sure the sound card is working. If the headphones work then it should be a setting somewhere. Sometime the switch that turns off the speakers when headphones are plugged in gets stuck, try plunging them in and unplugging them out while music is playing. If they don't work the sound card may be blown but it is still possible it is not. Also, try Keyboard shortcuts for mute and UN-mute. Try going to control panel and bring up the sound app and try different options in there for mono and or what ever it has, you may find the answer there. If the headphones work but nothing else works you can always plug external speakers in the headphone plug.
