your repeater transmits at 147.120,your radio transmits on a different frequency to the reapeater otherwise you would repeat right from the radio,you need to program your radio and repeater together,try a baofung radio and vertex 100 repeater,i have them and they work good,the radio is 30 bucks on ebay

go to setup rotate and than you see vox on or off, like bells of or on.

That might meaning that's it's draining the residual charge left on the battery, before it can be charged, but if it does this for more than an hour, your battery is "toast".

Try this chirp software, I'm pretty sure if supports both radios, you can read one radio, and write it back to the other, the software will make all the changes for you

This is a business band 2 way radio and you would have to connect it to the programming software and read it or use a frquency counter
