Can not connect to pc via usb
Some things you can try.....use the rear usb slots as these are direct to motherboard and tend not to throw unrecognised messages...whereas front usb slots are connected by cable onto motherboard and are prone to failure.
if the rear still produces no connectivity then you could try going into control panel to hardware management.quick way is to press the window button and pause break together.uninstall the usb driver and rescan this usually reset the count failure of the usb slots which on some machines cause usb to go dormant.this solution also works for dormant cd drives.
It is malwarebytes I had paid $179. over the phone via AVAST. I wonder why I wasn't offered $25. Thank you for the 2 addresses.
if we may please clarify exactly what some of the issues are here:
malwarebytes is a anti-malware piece of software/an app (malware is software that is intended to damage or disable computers and computer systems.)
avast is an anti-virus... software or app which removes or detects virus'. avast does has the capability of finding malware but it is not really their speciality.
so now with a simple definition of what malwarebytes and avast are maybe you can understand a little more about what someone was trying to sell you. they really are both different.
if this help I would appreciate some feedback if not please explain more.
thanx a bunch

WINDOWS NOT INSTALING
Unplug all devices (USB, Wifi dongle, etc) apart from mouse and keyboard and complete the installation "offline". Then you connect it to the Internet and make sure it's working. Only then do you connect devices one by one and make sure they work individually

We had a similar problem with a kvm switch at our work. It turns out that there is a bug internally. This may not help you but its worth a try. Unplug the power, wait a few seconds and plug the power back in.
