Vizio E601i-a3 sound but no picture
Not sure what you're talking about when you say "I did test the replacement t-con board after replacement and via the drain, source and gate diode and it tested bad". What exactly tested bad? Where are you finding a MOSFET you say you tested? Also what is a "gate diode". As far as a panel being bad, there are ways to test it but you will need some kind of costly test gear to test it. One thing you can do is remove one flat ribbon connector at a time that goes to the panel boards and see if you get half a picture, if you do the panel is bad.
Which part needs replacement on 65" Vizio LED TV?
There are a lot of things that could be causing the backlight issue you're seeing. First thing to look at is the 7 caps that sit next to the 24 volt backlight supply plug, those have been known to give issues but going by how this set has acted in the past I don't think this is your issue but check it first. If the caps look good measure the 24 volt supply that goes to the LED driver, make sure you see correct voltage there, next thing I'd look at is the LED driver board, be sure there aren't any burned spots on that board, next test is going to be the individual rails going to the LED strips and see if you see voltage there, if you don't replace the driver, if you do it has to be backlights but generally only some will fail like you were seeing to start with, with some dark areas on the screen
Vizio V585-H11 panel failure question
This 100% is a panel failure, only thing you can try is testing the SMD capacitors that are on the panel boards, see if you find any shorted, this would give the picture you're seeing, if you find any that are shorted, remove them with a needle nose plier, the set will work fine without them, if you don't find any bad caps its going to be a COF IC that's shorted, that wouldn't be repairable and the TV needs recycling. Manufacturers no longer sell replacement panels, if in warranty they give you a new TV verses try to repair it
Vizio tv model# V585-H11 has dark blue screen. Nothing else
HI Dan, if you have a dark blue screen with no video this would equate to backlights working but no video being processed, this is the hardest issue to diagnose on a LCD TV, as no one will have test gear to diagnose it other than a service shop as this test gear costs thousands of dollars. There are a couple things you can try, try unhooking one ribbon connector at a time going to the panel boards from tcon board, if you get half a picture the game is over as the panel is defective, you can test the SMD capacitors on the side that doesn't work but in most cases they aren't the issue, its a COF IC that's shorted and those aren't replaceable. What I think you will find as the issue for no vid on your TV is actually the t-con board as the tcon in this set has a really bad track record but starting by eliminating the panel is the place to start. A main can cause no vid however it's been the tcon or panel that's gave the issue for us in our shop, one other thing, if the panel is bad and you replace the tcon, the bad panel will damage the replacement tcon board so be sure to do the test on the screen first.
Denon AVR-888 does not pass HDMI signal from Asus ux431f laptop to the Vizio tv.
If your Denon AVR-888 is not passing HDMI signal from your Asus UX431F laptop to your Vizio TV, but is passing signal from your Apple TV, there may be a compatibility issue between the laptop and the receiver or between the receiver and the TV. Here are a few things you can try:
- Check HDMI cables: Make sure all HDMI cables are properly connected and working. Try using different HDMI cables to see if that resolves the issue.
- Update firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for the receiver and the laptop. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
- Check laptop settings: Make sure the laptop is set to output video through its HDMI port. On some laptops, you may need to manually select the HDMI output in the display settings.
- Try a different input: If your receiver has multiple HDMI inputs, try plugging your laptop into a different input to see if that resolves the issue.
- Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, contact the manufacturer of the laptop, receiver, or TV for further assistance.
It's also worth noting that some older HDMI receivers may not be compatible with newer HDMI devices. If your receiver is several years old, it may not be able to pass the HDMI signal from your laptop. In that case, you may need to upgrade to a newer receiver that supports HDMI 2.0 or higher.
My Vizio p55-c1 tv wont turn on; need help with diagnosis. see details below.
Hi Alon, as you say, it would be very possible that the main board is responsible for the malfunction of your Vizio TV
Because you say you have no image, no sound, assuming you turn it on knowing what input it is and there is some ymagen and sound, but the TV does not show you anything
If you were to have sound, there could be the T-Con board, since this does not affect the audio
I hope you can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil
Saludos Franco Dosil
Have a Vizio M656-G4 that won't power up and no stand by.
If your Vizio M656-G4 TV is not powering up and there is no standby light, here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
- Check the power source: Make sure the power cord is securely plugged into the wall outlet and the TV. If the power source is a surge protector or power strip, try plugging the TV directly into the wall outlet to rule out any issues with the power strip.
- Check the remote control: Make sure the batteries in the remote control are fresh and properly inserted. Try using the power button on the TV itself to turn it on in case the remote is not working properly.
- Perform a power cycle: Unplug the TV from the power source for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in and try turning it on again.
- Check for firmware updates: Make sure your TV is running the latest firmware by going to the settings menu and selecting "System," then "Check for Updates."
- Contact Vizio support: If none of the above steps work, contact Vizio support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or recommend a repair service if necessary.
It's worth noting that if your TV is still under warranty, it may be best to contact Vizio for assistance as attempting any repairs yourself could potentially void the warranty.
55 in vizio tv with vertical lines. Is it fixable?
What's the model of your TV Martin? I have a feeling you have a bad panel but can get you more info with the model, if a tcon didn't fix it and you cleaned the connectors and they look ok, no bent pins or missing pins I doubt new ribbon cables will help.
Can I fix the leg/stand on my tv?
Before investing time to fix the stand or purchasing another make sure the TV screen is ok, generally they break if the set is knocked over
