Assuming you paid the renewal fee online and you verified your payment was recived the software should update rather quickly. Try restarting the computer and see if it shows the proper subscription information. If this does not work, give it a few hours and try again. Contact the company and insure they have the payment reflected. If you received email confirmation of payment, that email usually will contain contact information for technical support or customer service issues

If you have the official key which you paid for you can download a trial version of the software from Webroot themselves http://www.webroot.com

Go to the website in the search book at the top right hand side type "download" and click ok.

Once you have downloaded and installed you can the convert the trail into the full version with the key which came with your purchase.

Using 3rd party programs to uninstall tend to work better than using the built in ones. Ccleaner is a free option and Revo is a paid option. These should take care of uninstalling the program and its registry keys.

Webroot customers can reinstall software at no charge any time during the active subscription period. You can request a new copy or upgrade at the Webroot Web site:

  1. Go to http://www.webroot.com/updates/redownload/request.
The Reinstall Software page opens on the Webroot Web site.
  2. From the Product field, click the down arrow and select the product you are using.
  3. In the next two fields, enter your last name and email address. Use the same email address and last name that you used to register your software.
  4. Click Get Updates.

You will receive an email containing your keycode and instructions for downloading your software.

Hey there,
If your computer is still under warranty, you're in good position.
Just call that bestbuy store you went to and explain the problem. If you do not feel like calling them first, simply go to the store with your receipt. Explain to them that problem and they'll fix it, if they can. Sometimes, computers come with a bunch of software but most of them are simply trial versions.
If you truly believed you had the full version, they should be able to provide you with a way to recover your activation or serial.

Hello,
Has webroot been running on your computer or this is your first time of running it?
If it has been working previously, then you can run system restore on your computer. System restore can help to back date your computer to the time when the webroot was working perfectly.
To perform system restore:
Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > System restore.
Read and follow instructions. System will restart during the restore process.....
After that try again and observe if webroot will function/work properly/normally.
Please let me know if this doesn't solve your problem so that I can help you further.
Regards.

This may be because your computer's date and time would be wrong. Please correct it and try restarting again.

Restart your computer in safemode by clicking F8 and it will let you login as Administrator than click on help and support than go to system restore and pick a date prior to the time the problem started, also choose the safemode with network support so you can get on the internet. Once on the internet go to download.com and download Advanced System care, and run a deep scan.

Boot into safe mode. ('Rapidly press F8 before the Windows boots)
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
and restore your PC to an earlier date.
