Need a device to counter gps tracker
If you know where the tracking device is, you can either remove the device or wrap it in several layers of heavy foil.
Removing the tracker would be better, as a wrap may not block it.. It is likely under the vehicle, has a magnetic base, and is self contained. If it is connected to the vehicle's GPS system ( I.E. a company vehicle) then you cannot disable or disconnect it without the tracking entity knowing. There is a legal grey area involving tracking of this nature, and most States require a court order authorizing the installation on private vehicles.
Check with your local Police department for the legalities of installing and /or disabling such a device.
Continually switching from x pulse
Have you tried the unit in a different vehicle? If it doesn't react the same in another vehicle it could be some type of interference in your car like an after market car alarm.A poor or dirty lighter socket can limit full power to the unit and this can casuse this problem too.
If it does the same in another vehicle, what settings do you have turned on or off on the unit? You can try a factory reset - hold in the Power and Quiet buttons; while holding in these buttons plug in the power cord. The unit should beep twice indicating that it has been reset. Without touching any settings on the unit, try it again in your vehicle.

No special cord is required. Does the lighter socket in the BMW power other 12 volt devices? If so, then check the fuse in the radar detectors power cord plug. If not, then check the BMW's lighter socket fuse to make sure that is working properly.
