What year was my 9422 Winchester lever action serial number F484341 made?
a search shows that the gun was made between 1980 and 1981
the serial numbers are F as the F went from F31532----F489918 where your serial number is in the middle so it they changed every month somewhere around july 1980 ( you can work it out if you want to be exact )

1409797 winchester 94, can't find date of manufactor, just between 1941-48 can you help please...
The war years weren't recorded as far as anyone knows. Even Winchester doesn't know. I'm sure someone somewhere does but there are no books that I know of that have those years. If it's just a trivia thing for you, you can estimate it to a degree. The last number recorded for the year 1942 is 1221289. The only number recorded for 1948 was 1500000. They didn't know how many they had made during the war years so they just started again at 1500000. That makes 279,000 manufactured from the first day of 1943 to the last day of 1948. That's six years inclusive. That's approx 46.5k guns per year. Yours would be approx 1946 by that.
