What were 1950's wurlitzer spinet piano keys made from?
I don't know the answer and I suspect some research and an expert viewing will be needed.
Traditionally black keys were made of ebony and the white of quality softwood overlaid with strips of ebony, though celluloid was widely used and some early plastics. It would depend as much on the intended market as the reputation of the manufacturer, in fact it was reckoned some of the quality brands have sometimes used spare capacity to produce "cheaper" instruments which were sold under different brands.
Where can I get a users manual for a Wurlitzer Model 565 organ?
There is a Wurlitzer 565 in perfect condition onE bay with an owners manual. If you contact the owner perhaps they can give you some contact info inside the manual on where to get a duplicate. or for a fee perhaps they can make you a copy. If not The Wurlitzer Co. was originally from North Tonawanda, NY. I Lived there for years. It is now a museum. "The Wurlitzer Factory." If you google it you can contact them and they may be able to help you. good luck in your search.
