Generally black horizontal lines are from the panel being bad, you could try a new Tcon board but I doubt it will help

the only thing i can find in the manual is this... Try unplugging the TV, waiting five minutes, and then plugging it back in and trying again.

One at a time unhook the Y buffer and Y sus power connectors from the power board, when you find the one where the set turns on, it may not have a picture but the power lamp will stay on then replace that board, there is about a 75% chance its the buffer that has failed as they give issues a lot

This TV's VGA port does not appear to be used for monitor purposes. It says "for service" in the manual, rather than being described as a PC port. My guess is that this input is used for some other type of display not available to the customer for regular use; only during maintenance when taken in for repairing, or something similar...whatever the "for service" means. But rest assured, only a VGA to component converter will give you that VGA PC screen.

If it is a regular coaxial antenna, you don't need to have a specific remote or code other than the controller that came with the TV. If you're talking about a cable box with an antenna, that will be different. You'll need to use a program code from a list on the remote's CBL device key to work the box.A converter box for digital antenna transmission, on the other hand, needs its own unique remote to work, as far as I can remember.

For changing language you need to go to the Special Menu Options. While on the menu select the one on the far right (past audio, picture menu options). Second line in special menu is the one to select Language, you can change it to english there.

It is impossible. These TVs only included VGA on the back for upgrade purposes, which means I think you must call the company to find out about it, or perhaps it's just an alert to consumers that VGA was coming soon in the product line. It's still fun to have a fake VGA port sticking out though XD

unfortunately you must use original remote to perform this function
