I have Zhone Router 6218-12
When you search for available wifi connections, do you find several routers? Other routers could be taking your bandwidth. There is a 802.11 protocol which establishes what channels routers can take, but this can be hacked, If you're in an apartment building, you may have this issue. Connecting by cable will fix it.

WIFI PASSWORD
Download a manual for the Zhone 6519 if you don't already have one. (You'll be prompted to set up an account)
Service Support
Connect router to PC by LAN cable then log in through the web interface. Go to wireless settings - you should be able to locate the wi-fi password, pass-phrase or pre-shared key.

I think you have forgotten your router password and want to reset it.
There must be a reset button on the back side of your router, which can be pressed with help of a hair pin or some pointed object. While the router is powered on, press the "reset" button and keep it pressed for more than 20 seconds (depends on your router specification). For my router I hold it pressed for 1 minute. The all your settings will be set to "factory reset", including your password. Usually factory reset password is "password" (it is true for my Netgear router). For your case the default password might have been printed on lower side of router.
You may now choose to change the password by connecting the router directly connecting it to your laptop and accessing the admin console of the router.
Hope this helps.

Unable to set up wireless service to my router
Without additional info. Check some of the basics.
With you user manual or perhaps info found on your router log directly into your router thru your browser. If you can't find the IP for it anywhere on a label or in your literature try typing192.168.0.1 into your browser and hitting <enter>
Sometimes the default IP address is found on the router label if that doesn't get you to the login screen for the router. If you get to the login screen, your default User ID and password is often ADMIN, then ADMIN again. Once there you need to get into the wireless settings setup or find your SSID. (Your Wireless Network Name or technically your Service Set ID) Exampe: JohnsHouse Then you need to find or set your Pass key, sometimes called pin or password. Example 1234. These two things need to also match in the settings on any WiFi device you are attempting to add on to your network, such as a smart phone, tablet, or other WiFi device.
As with making any changes, write down the before and after settings of anything you change. Make sure to save when you are done. If a change doesn't work at least go back in and change things back to the state they were before you started. Additionally most routers have a reset that will change everything back to default factory settings. Doing that may change settings you have not written down. Those settings including the admin User Name and password. Everything will change to that factory default. The reset is usually found as a small hole that you depress a tiny button using the end of a paper clip or ball point pen. If you don't know what you are doing I don't advise resetting your router though. If you are still unsure I suggest contacting tech support for your specific router. They should be able to walk you through it on the phone.
Change password
1) plug into your router (no wireless)2) use IE, chrome, ect to go to your default gateways address (192.168.1.1 or something)3) enter username and password (hopefully default login info applies (usually admin, admin admin, password or admin,"blank" or something)4) go to the wireless tab and set up name of network (SSID)5) save or apply settings6) set up password type and actual password (i reccommend WPA WPA2 or WPA mixed or the likes)7) save or apply settings8) hook all up normal and test
Change password new wireless
If you connect to the router with network cable through one of the LAN ports you should be able to reset the wireless password.
Alternately if you know the factory default or if the factory default is on the router itself then there should be a reset button that if you hold down for a few seconds will reset the password to the default.
Otherwise if the router has a WPS button or similar then you maybe able to connect using that feature without the password.
